ELLIPSIS MONDAY PHOTO SHOOT

Carly over at Ellipsis Suddenly Carly is hosting the Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot. What are we suppose to shoot this week:

EMPS #45: BLACK & BLUE
Pretty simple concept this week. Photograph something that is BLACK, BLUE, or BLACK & BLUE. A bruise. A little BLACK dress. Someone crying could be something BLUE. If you are a Rock fan, you might show me a BLACK Sabbath album or CD cover. Maybe you just love BLUE cheese, if so, that would do just fine. This assignment is completely open to interpretation, so go out on a limb. Think outside the box. Show me something that is BLACK & BLUE.

Extra Credit: Tell me about color. What is your favorite color and why? How does color affect your choices when it comes to photography?

As for the colors I like, Bright, Bold, Vibrant Colors. I tend to take photos of colors that are full of color....although I also like Black & White photos. My favorite color is of course RED. It's bright, says look at me, warns you away and makes you want to look again.

Well, here is my Black & Blue. I took this photo while driving along to work, yea, I know don't do that, but sometimes that's the only way I can get a photo I really want. I was trying to get a photo of this old farm building that is falling down. I have been going past this building for the better part of 20 years. Have been watching it deteriorate. It is at the point now that a good stiff wind would probably knock it down. The BLACK is the mirror, the wipers and the road and the BLUE is the sky of course.



This photo is of a walking trail. It has recently been upgraded with new wrought iron decorations. As you can see this is a bridge going over a street. See all the pretty BLACK wrought iron along the sides? It's kind of like a tunnel. There just happened to be a black SUV right in front of us when I took this photo, and no I wasn't driving this time, my hubby was!
